Have you ever seen a sunrise or a sunset that just stops you in your tracks? On Thursday afternoon down at Dalmeny Beach, there was a heart-stopper! The clouds were so varied and the light was just that beautiful, golden light that makes everything look fabulous.
Then all of a sudden the colour changed and the clouds became a dramatic peachy-pink. It was incredible!
I woke early, and decided to leave my family asleep in their warm beds and head down to Bronte Beach for a walk and some sunrise action.
It was very quiet and peaceful as the sun rose. Low tide meant that the Bogey Hole was still, calm and oh so glassy. The pink whispy clouds were reflected in the water and it made for lovely pictures.
The outgoing tide had caused rivets in the sand to appear giving a different texture to the sand.
One brave soul decided it was time for a swim, so in he went leaving the reflections in his wake.
As I walked around the headland towards Bondi, beautiful clouds revealed themselves; pink and puffy like marshmallows.
Onwards to Tamarama Beach, and more clouds put on a show. The mornings walkers oblivious as to the view behind them.

Five hours south of Sydney, on the Sapphire Coast is a beautiful little town called Bermagui. Known predominantly as a deep sea fishing spot, but I personally prefer to visit the Blue Pool, a man-made saltwater pool that hugs the Bermagui coastline.
The colours from the viewing platform are spectacular!
This was the first time I’ve ever visited Bermi (as it’s known to the locals) and I was keen to see the pool as I’ve heard so much from other photographers about how special it is.
With a bird’s eye view down to the pool, the viewing platform is THE spot for great picture. When the sun is in the spot, the sparkling blues and greens of the pool are more vibrant than you can imagine. The Sapphire Coast really does live up to the name!
A hidden oasis.
With a winding staircase down to the pool, it’s not short of photogenic spots. It’s location on the coast ensures that the rocks surrounding the pool add to the whole spectacle. As the waves crash over the rocks, little rivers of white spill over every crack and crevice. It’s stunning.

I can’t wait to head back down there soon and dive into those baby blues! As long as it’s not too cold!!!
